DR. STANLEY FRED MORRILL

Dr. Stanley Fred Morrill, born Dec. 4, 1924 in Schreiber, Ont., passed away peacefully March 28, 1998.
Our dear husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle is sadly missed by his loving wife, Eleanor; his sons and daughters, Meredith, Chris, Nancy, Pat, Keith, and Beth; and his grandchildren, Thea, Morgan, Natalie, Andre, Jacki, Katie, Connor, Erica, and Mallory.
Father-in-law to Dinah Morrill, Richard Orr, Colleen Morrill, Jane Morrill, and Richard Kinar. Beloved brother to Erie McGrath (Ambrose), Phyllis McParland, Doris Holmes (Earle), and Maureen Redins (Karl); and dear brother-in-law to Frances Long.
Cherished uncle to many wonderful nieces, nephews, and their families.
Dr. Morrill graduated from Queen’s University Medical School in 1949. He interned for one year at St. Michael’s Hospital (Toronto) and one year at Sunnybrook Hospital (Toronto). After practising as a family doctor in Northern Ontario for 12 years (including 10 in Fort Frances), in his kind and gentle manner he faithfully cared for his patients at Lion’s Gate Hospital in North Vancouver for 35 years until his recent retirement.
Caring and dignified, he lived his life gracefully, always taking care of others.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 9, 1998 at St. Anthony’s Church, 2337 Inglewood Ave., West Vancouver, B.C. at 2 p.m., followed by reception.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted by the Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice.
