DOUGLAS EUGENE BONE

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Douglas Eugene Bone at the age of 76 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003.
Douglas was born June 9, 1927 in Fort Frances to Lloyd and Lillian Bone. He was unite in marriage to Elaine Gosselin on July 25, 1951.
Doug worked for the Rainy River District School Board as a caretaker, retiring in 1992. He and Elaine also were the caretakers of Aspen House for the last 20 years.
Doug also was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #29 in Fort Frances.
Doug leaves behind his wife, Elaine; sons, Doug and wife, Melissa, of Waldhof, Ont., and Donald and wife, Donna, and David, all of Fort Frances, Ont.; grandchildren, Angela and Steven Bone of Oxdrift, Ont., Amanda Bone of Fort Frances, Ont., Lindsey and Michael Sheloff of Winnipeg, Man., and Joel and Kyla Bone, and Chelsie Armstrong, all of Fort Frances, Ont.; great-grandson, Logan Armstrong; daughter-in-law, Nadine Armstrong of Fort Frances, Ont.; and his sister, Donna and husband, Roy Wilson, of Crozier, Ont.
He was predeceased by his parents; son, Dale Bone on Feb. 12, 2002; brother, Donald; and father- and mother-in-law, Fred and Elizabeth Gosselin.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003 at 2 p.m.
at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with Pastor Petty Mason officiating.
Cremation has taken place in Thunder Bay, Ont., with interment in La Verendrye Columbarium at Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
The honourary pallbearers will be his sons and grandchilren.
