DOROTHY WILSON

Dorothy Clara Wilson, 85, of Golden Age Manor in Emo, Ont., passed away Sunday, March 14, 1999 at the Emo Hospital surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born July 23, 1913 in Emo to the late Charles and Renie Brigham.
Mrs. Wilson had lived all her life in Emo. She was a farmer’s wife who worked hard, a homemaker, a mother, and caregiver to many. She also had worked for a couple of years at the Red Deer Lodge.
She was a fantastic gardener, a member of the Knox United Church in Emo and the United Church Women, and also was a member of the Women’s Institute and the Emo Horticultural Society, and a past member of the Rebekah Lodge in Emo.
Dorothy was united in marriage Oct. 7, 1931 to David Roy Wilson, who predeceased her April 20, 1978. She also was predeceased by two brothers, Milford and Marvin; and a grandson, Kevin.
She is survived by one son, David and wife, Cora, of Prince Albert, Sask.; and two daughters, Kay Wilson and Gloria Sheloff (Jim), all of Emo.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren, John Wilson (Teena), Carol Anderson (Peter), Kathy Galusha (Doug), Roseanne Johnson (Jeff), Curtis Sheloff (Harri), Todd Wilson, and Colin Sheloff; seven great-grandchildren, Jackie, Laura, Amber, Katie, Paul, Caitlin, and Aleena; eight sisters, Ruby McDonald, Pat McDonald, Evelyn Loveday, Lucille Arason, Shirley King, Leila Hele, Sylvia Hyatt, and Elsie Skinner; two brothers, Herb and William “Billy” Brigham; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 17, 1999 at 2 p.m. at Knox United Church in Emo. Eileen Bragg officiated, with interment in Emo Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Wilson, Curtis Sheloff, Colin Sheloff, Peter Anderson, Doug Galusha, and Brent Hyatt.
