DOROTHY RUMMERY

Dorothy Rummery (nee Martyn), 87, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011 in Schreiber, Ont.
She was born and educated in Peterborough, Ont. before moving to Northern Ontario.
On Oct. 11, 1943 she married the love of her life, Jack Rummery, who predeceased her in 1993.
They had only one daughter, Diane Maxey, who resides in Fort Frances, Ont.
Surviving Dorothy, as well, are numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends.
Dorothy was a well-respected member of the community and was very involved with many charities during her lifetime. Of special importance and interest was her work with the Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as Esther, Secretary, and Worthy Matron of Silver Birch Chapter #264 in Terrace Bay, Ont.
She also held the honour of being District Deputy, which provided her with the opportunity to travel to various chapters throughout Ontario, often accompanied by her husband, Jack, who was her staunch supporter, beloved friend, and life companion.
Dorothy will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
