Dorothy Judson, 88, passed away Monday, March 23, 2009 at her home in Emo, Ont. with her family at her side.
Dorothy was born May 1, 1920 in Emo to the late William and Helen Mason.
She will be missed and remembered for many reasons—one of Dorothy’s most incredible talents was the ability to understand people, lift them up, and brighten their world.
No matter what the situation, she never sat in judgment. She would listen and help each of us come up with our own answers.
She was the “rock” who inspired and nurtured all and asked for nothing in return.
Dorothy will be missed a great deal by her children, Gary (Janet) Judson, Kathy Judson, and Dianne Strachan, all of Emo, Ont.
Among those she impacted beyond measure are her six grandchildren and their spouses, 17 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends who will miss her terribly.
She was predeceased by her husband, Laurie, two brothers, five sisters, and recently her son-in-law, Larry Strachan.
A celebration of Dorothy’s life was held Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo, with Rev. Eileen Bragg officiating.
The honourary pallbearers were her six grandchildren, Morris Judson, Trevor Judson, Jim Strachan, Sheri Maryniuk, Glen Strachan, and Michelle Iwaasa.
Interment will take place in Nestor Falls Cemetery in Nestor Falls, Ont. at a later date.
If desired, in memoriam donations may be made to the Emo Health Centre c/o Northridge Funeral Home, P.O. Box 89, Emo, Ont., P0W 1E0.
