DORIS MARION FOSTER

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Doris Marion Foster (Edberg), 70, of Fort Frances, Ont., on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances.
Doris was born May 16, 1939 in Bergland, Ont. to the late Arvid and Julia Edberg. She had worked at La Verendrye General Hospital for 17 years until her retirement in 2004.
Doris enjoyed camping and fishing, family get-togethers, and afternoon coffee with her friends at A&W. She also enjoyed watching her sons and then her grandsons play hockey.
Grandma Doris had a very close relationship with her four grandchildren, and will be greatly missed by them.
Doris was united in marriage on Aug. 25, 1962 to Clifford (Pete) Foster, who survives along with their two sons, Darcy (Connie) and Scott (Rachel), all of Fort Frances, Ont.
Also left to cherish her memory are her adored grandchildren, Darren, Carly, Julia, and Dusten.
She also leaves behind four sisters, Mildred Whitefield of Fort Frances, Ont., Lillian Stone and Virginia (Bob) LaBelle, both of International Falls, Mn., and Evelyn O’Connell of Fort Frances, Ont.; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn (Dan) McLean of Guelph, Ont. and Dorothy (late Don) Holmgren of Kenora, Ont.; brother-in-law Don (Joan) Foster of Emo, Ont.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, an aunt, and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Melvin Edberg; and brothers-in-law, Reginald Whitefield, Raymond Stone, and Patrick O’Connell.
Cremation has taken place. At Doris’ request, there will be no service.
