DORIS EILEEN CUNNINGHAM

It is with great sadness that the family of Doris Eileen Cunningham announces her passing on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Rainycrest Long Term Care, 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont.
Doris was born in International Falls, Mn. on Sept. 12, 1924 to the late Ben and Inga Wenberg.
Doris grew up in International Falls, where she later met and was united in marriage to Ted Cunningham on June 14, 1946. Following their marriage, they made their home in Fort Frances.
Doris loved cooking and was known by her family as a great cook. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ted Cunningham, in 2002; and infant daughter, Sandra Lynn, in 1959.
Doris is survived by two brothers, Clayton Wenberg and family of Toldedo, Ohio and Richard (Marilyn) Wendberg of Harlingen, Tex.; two sisters-in-law, Doreen (Larry) Buffington of Fort Frances, Ont. and Joyce Cunningham of Fort Frances, Ont.; one brother-in-law, Deane (June) Cunningham of Fort Frances, Ont.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation took place at Rainy River Cremation Services in International Falls.
A memorial service to celebrate Doris’ life will be held Monday, July 6, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with Fr. Wayne McIntosh officiating.
Interment will take place in Fort Frances Cemetery in Fort Frances.
The honourary pallbearers will be Doris’ family and friends.
