Doreen Constance (Connie) Cameron passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at Leisureworld-Norfinch, in Toronto, Ont., at the age of 88.
She was born in Fort Frances, Ont., spent her high school years in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., and worked for many years in real estate in Toronto after serving as a WREN during WWII.
After retiring, Connie volunteered for many years with the Cancer Society. She moved to Barrie, Ont. in 2008.
Connie was predeceased by five brothers and three sisters.
She will be sadly missed by her surviving sister, Betty Currie; three sisters-in-law; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place, as per her wishes.
A memorial service and tea will be held Saturday, Jan. 26 at 1 p.m. at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, 275 Lesmill Rd., Toronto, Ont. (1-416-441-1580).
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
