Donna Williams, 74, passed away peacefully at McNally House in Grimsby, Ont. on Monday, Jan. 25, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Donna lived in Grimsby for the past 10 years, in Lindsay, Ont. and Thunder Bay, Ont. prior to that, and spent her early years in Fort Frances, Ont.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank; and sister, Eunice Gillespie.
Donna leaves behind her daughter, Patti (Bruce) Atkinson of Grimsby, and son, Mike Williams (Alison Shannon) of Jerseyville.
She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Drew and Ben Atkinson, and Jaime, Jeffrey, Alex, and Daniel Williams.
She was the dear sister of Millie Ward (Stan) of Fort Frances, Ont., Cheryl Lafond of St. Catharines, Ont., and Roy Hendrickson (Donna) of Seattle, Wash.
Donna enjoyed her grandsons’ sporting and school events, spending time with family and her Wentworth Drive friends, gardening, and volunteering at West Lincoln Hospital and the Grimsby Benevolent Fund.
Cremation has taken place.
A service of remembrance will be held Friday, Jan. 29, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Church in Grimsby.
