Sadly, the family announces the sudden passing of Donna Hagarty, 59, of Rainy River, Ont., on Friday, May 6, 2016 at her residence.
Donna was born May 8, 1956 in Port Arthur, Ont. to Michael and Diane (nee Bay) Paziuk.
She was united in marriage to Rick Hagarty on July 19, 1974.
Donna worked as a RPN at the Rainy River Health Centre and retired in 2012.
In her retirement, she enjoyed quilting on her treadle sewing machines, and became a collector and restorer of sewing machines (some might call it hoarding).
Donna will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Rick; daughter, Shannon; daughter-in-law, Jo-Anne; grandchildren, Taya, Brinneal, and Seamus; her parents, Mike and Diane; and her sister, Michelle (Clayton) Borkowski.
She was predeceased by her son, Shae (2012).
A service of celebration and remembrance of Donna’s life was held Monday, May 16, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Rainy River Evangelical Covenant Church, with Rev. Barb Miller officiating.
The honourary pallbearers were her grandchildren, Taya, Brinneal, and Seamus.
