It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our father, Donald Frank Walton, at the age of 92.
A former long-time resident of Burriss, Ont., he passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 19, 2017.
He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce (nee Hyatt) and son, William.
Donald is survived by his son, Gregory; daughter, Lynne; sisters, Joan, Loreen, and Marylou; as well as many family members in and around the Fort Frances area.
Dad enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as family gatherings.
He was a veteran of World War II. He worked for the MTO in his younger years.
Once he retired from there, he started up his own land survey business and was well-known in the Rainy River District for his land surveying capabilities.
After retiring for a second time, Dad enjoyed gardening, cutting firewood, and any other outdoor activity. He also could be found lending a hand whenever asked.
He also was a long-time member of the Masonic Lodge.
Interment will be in the Burriss Cemetery at a later date.
