It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our brother and uncle, Donald (Bryan) Howard, of 610 Fifth St. S., Kenora, Ont., on Oct. 20, 2006 at Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora.
Bryan was born May 1, 1941 in St. John, N.B. to Fred and Iris Howard. He spent his first couple of years with his mom and grandparents in Bay Roberts, Nfld. while his dad was overseas.
Bryan and his mom returned to the Rainy River District in 1943, where she taught school until they settled on their farm north of Barwick, Ont. Bryan was the eldest of five children and attended school in Barwick and Fort Frances, Ont.
He loved the outdoors. His hobbies included woodworking, sketching, gardening, and playing the violin. He was very generous with his time, charities, and gifts. Never did a birthday or Christmas pass without a parcel arriving home from Bryan.
He touched everyone’s heart with his thoughtfulness. He will be missed.
He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Doug Howard.
Bryan is survived by one brother, Derick (Rita) Howard of Kakabeka Falls, Ont.; and two sisters, Ruth (Bob) Teeple of Blackhawk, Ont. and Ava Howard of Calgary, Alta.
He was an uncle to Len, Jodie, Peggy, Michelle, Marilyn, Howard, Jimmy, Dolly, and Don; and great-uncle to Griffin, Jordan, Cade, Emma, Jada, Kiara, and Carmen.
