Donald Allen James (Jim) Gervais

sadly announce the passing of our brother at Riverside Health Centre in Winnipeg, MB on October 28, 2022 at the age of 71.

Jim was born August 15, 1951 in Rainy River, ON to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Betty) Gervais. After the family moved to Fort Frances in 1960, Jim attended Robert Moore and Fort Frances High School. Jim then served a two year stint in the Army, relocating to Winnipeg after his discharge. Through the years he worked various jobs including MCI, Cabela’s, Simmon’s and Pratt. His final years were spent battling three rounds of cancer.

A lifelong wrestling fan, Jim attended one final live event with his brother Michael, one month prior to his passing. Jim was also a hardcore Toronto Maple Leafs fan, and a fan of all sports.

He leaves behind siblings David (Monique) and nieces Lisa, Laurie, and Teresa and families, Michael (Sarah), nephews Jason and Dallas, and niece Alina and families, as well as numerous cousins. Family was always very important to Jim.

He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth Gervais as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Internment of ashes will take place in the spring.
