It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Dini Radstake, on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009.
Dini was born July 27, 1926 in Bloemendaal, The Netherlands, immigrated to Canada in 1947, and married Philip Chernaske, who passed away in 2004.
She will lovingly be remembered by her daughter, Diane (Rick), grandson, Richard (Shelley), and great-grandchildren, Kim, Breanne, and Greg; daughter, Yvonne (Robert), grandchildren, Kirsten (Kasey) and great-grandchildren, Jackson and Blake, and Adam; and son, Clay (Margaret) and grandchildren, Tracy and Amy.
In her later years, Dini never slowed down and was determined to travel the world, making new friends in such places as Bali, Guatamala, Turkey, Fiji, and Holland.
Although she will be truly missed, she leaves with us a lifetime of memories to cherish and remember her by, and allow those who knew her to ensure her spirit lives on.
A celebration of Dini’s life was held Friday, Nov 20, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Victory Memorial Park Cemetery in Surrey, B.C.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
