It is with great sadness that the family of Denyse Cecile DeCaire (nee Ouimet) passed away at the age of 95 on January 4, 2025, in Edmonton, Alberta. She was born on Dec. 20, 1929, in Ste-Rose Laval, Quebec. She is survived by her children Daniel (Rose-Marie), Rachel (David), Carl (Maureen) and Mack; grandchildren Eric, Philip (Brodie), Michael, and Natalie (Charlie); and great-grandchildren Savannah, Audrey, Penelope and Juliette; sister Jeanne (Andre); and several nieces and nephews
She was pre-deceased by Louis Decaire, her husband of 61 years; her parents Charles Ouimet and Rachel Limoges; siblings Alderic, Paul (Gabrielle), Gerard, Pierrette and Jacqueline.

She graduated from the Pensionnat St-Charles of Ste-Rose Laval. After her wedding in Ste-Rose, she moved to Fort Frances, Ont., and lived there for 67 years enjoying a full and happy life. She was an “Avon Lady” for many years, a member of the Catholic Women’s League and also organized Duplicate Bridge at the Kennedy Centre for more than 30 years. She moved to Edmonton in 2021, and quickly got involved in many activities making several fast friends. She will be missed.
An open reception in Denyse’s memory will be held on January 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Lifestyles Options, 200 Falconer Court, Edmonton, Alberta.
