It is with great sadness that the family of Dennis Robert announce his passing on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Whitehorse, Yukon.
Loving son of Terry McMahon; the late Irene McMahon; stepmom Yvonne; sister Terri-Lynn; and nephew Adam Barrett and his wife Donna. Also sadly missed by aunts Carol Strachan (Milt), Brenda McMahon, Cheryl Bodnerchuk (the late John), Denise Miller (Bob); and uncles Jim McMahon, Dean McMahon (Patti), Russ McMahon (Jackie). Also missed by many cousins and friends.
Dennis was born and grew up in Emo, Ont. He loved the outdoors and being near the water. His first job (at 11 yrs old) was as a dock boy at Trails End Lodge. This lead to the job he loved as a fishing/hunting guide in the Yukon and Territories. He also took his dog, Konan, with him where ever he went, even turning down jobs if they wouldn’t let the dog go along. Besides his dog his other love was his motorcycle, which he built from scratch. His dreams all came to a halt when he was diagnosed with TB and spinal meningitis, which left him paralyzed. He spent the last five years in a care home in Whitehorse. On Sunday, March 20, he was relieved of his pain and taken to be with his mother.

The Thomson Centre in Whitehorse, Yukon, covered him in an Honour Blanket, put his cap on and his feather in his hand for his next journey to be with his mom.
Dennis has been cremated and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 28, at the Sunset Country Metis Hall, 714 Armit Ave, at 1:00 p.m., luncheon to follow.
Memorial donations to can be made to Fort Frances Sportsmen’s Club.
