Dennis Dalseg, 44, of Nestor Falls, Ont. passed away suddenly at his home in Nestor Falls on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998.
He was born May 26, 1954 in Fort Frances, Ont. and lived all of his life in Nestor Falls. On Oct. 14, 1978, he was united in marriage to the former Lois Veillieux.
Dennis was involved in all facets of outdoor activities, including fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and conservation. He also was very fond of all types of animals, and especially loved his pets.
From 1982 until 1994, Dennis worked for his parents, Jack and Phyllis Dalseg, at the IGA store in Nestor Falls, and in recent years had, along with his wife, Lois, owned and operated the “Angler Pro Shop” in Nestor Falls.
Dennis is survived by his mother and father, Phyllis and Jack Dalseg of Nestor Fall, Ont.; his wife, Lois Dalseg of Nestor Falls, Ont.; Lois’ children, Lorelei Shebagegit and husband, Christopher, of Nestor Falls, Ont., and Darrell Lind and wife, Gill, of Winnipeg, Man.; and by one sister, Cathy and husband, Ben Hamel, of Edmonton, Alta.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998 at 2 p.m. at the Nestor Falls United Church in Nestor Falls. Rev. Patrick Playfair officiated, with interment in Norman Cottam Memorial Garden Cemetery in Nestor Falls.
Pallbearers were Mel Olson, Ed Clark, Howard Dodd, Ben Hamel, Wayne Sandmoen, and Lance Hildebrand.
Honourary pallbearers were all of Dennis’ friends.
