Delores R. Bombay

Delores R. Bombay, of 901 Shevlin Ave., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 5, 1948 in Emo Ont.
She was a member of Rainy River First Nation where she resided until her teen years. Her later years were spent in Fort Frances where she worked in various tourist camps.
She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred Bombay (Oct. 23, 1963) and Lottie Bombay (Dec. 7, 1988); and her partner of 30 years, Ronald Tucker on June 25, 1996.
She leaves to mourn her son, George of Winnipeg, Man.; brothers, Robert and Darrel of Fort Frances, Ont.; and sister, Jana Mullner of Atikokan, Ont.
She is also survived by her uncles, Sam (Geraldine), Calvin and Ray Bombay, and John Falloon (Bev); aunts, Annie Holborn and Pearl Stevens; and special friend, Clifford Loveday.
A memorial service was held Monday, Aug. 23, 1999 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church in Fort Frances. A lunch followed at the United Native Friendship Centre.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
