In loving memory of Delia Mason, who passed away at the age of 99 years on Sunday, May 10, 2009 at Rainycrest Long-Term Care in Fort Frances, Ont.
Delia was born July 21, 1909 in Vassar, Man. and moved to Fort Frances in 1928.
Delia worked as children’s librarian at the Fort Frances Public Library for many years. She enjoyed playing bridge with special friends, needlepoint, oil painting, knitting, and reading until her eyesight failed.
Delia was predeceased by her husband, Roy, in May, 1985; and two sisters, Annette Bone and Aurore Tardiff.
Delia is survived by her two sons, Edgar (Diane) of Dryden, Ont. and Don (Pam) of International Falls, Mn.; and special niece, Grace (Dennis) Huntley of Fort Frances, Ont.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Hugh (Linnia) of Dryden, Douglas (Erin) of Kingston, Valerie Gamble (Tom) of Dryden, Nancy Imhof (Mike) of Littlefork, Bill (Shawn) of International Falls, Bob (Victoria) of Minneapolis, and Jim (Stephanie) of International Fall; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Rev. Barbara Miller will officiate, with interment in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
Pallbearers will be Doug Mason, Hugh Mason, Jim Mason, Bill Mason, Bob Mason, and Tom McKeever.
