DEBRA LYNN GRENNIER

Grennier

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Debra Lynne Grennier, 57, after a brief battle with cancer, on Friday, July 21, 2017 in Princeton, B.C.
Deb was born on Oct. 16, 1959 in Fort Frances, Ont. to Edward (Ted) and Darleen Grennier.
She was raised in Emo, Ont. and after graduating high school, she attended Confederation College in Thunder Bay, Ont. and later the University of Guelph, where she obtained her degree in Applied Human Nutrition.
As a dietitian, Deb worked in Regina, Sask., Dryden, Ont., Fort Frances, and Princeton. She had a strong knowledge of and passion for diabetes education and counselling, assisting her clients with great care and compassion.
Deb was a strong, fiercely independent woman who met life’s challenges head on. Where some of us might have given up, she persevered and succeeded.
Family was very important to Deb, and she had a special place in her heart for her nephews and nieces and great-nieces and nephews.
Deb also love animals (especially cats), her flower gardens, nature, and travel. She enjoyed numerous camping trips, exploring the parks in Northwestern Ontario and B.C.
This past spring, she fell in love with Portugal during a six-week adventure to Europe.
Deb is lovingly remember by her partner, Norbert Neumann and his family; siblings, Lorrie (Mary) Grennier, Brent (Laurel) Grennier, and Jeanette Grennier and their families; and sister-in-law, Glenda Grennier.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Rick.
As per Deb’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a private family service.
If desired, in memoriam donations can be sent to the family, which will be forwarded to the Palliative Care Unit at the Princeton General Hospital.
