David Stanley Marsh, age 84, of 851 Colonization Rd. W., Fort Frances, Ont. passed away on Friday, August 10, 2007 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
    David was born on February 18, 1923 in Fort Frances, Ont. to the late Nelson and Anna Marsh. He was raised in Fort Frances, and during WWII  enlisted with the R.C.A.:F. as Bombedere serving his country in Canada.             Following his discharge from the services, David returned to Fort Frances where he co-owned and operated along with his father and brother, N.S. Marsh Coca Cola Ltd. in Fort Frances for many years. He later worked in appliance and repair service industry where David helped many local customers in the community with repairs to their appliances.
    He was very active in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, and also very involved in the Kiwanis. In later years, David worked at Witherspoon’s Service Station where he continued serving local residents. David was proud in raising horses at the Cripple Creek Ranch, his home. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
    David is survived by one son David Marsh and one grandson Jordan Marsh both of Fort Frances, Ont., Davids mother, Winona Marsh of Thunder Bay, Ont., one sister Margaret Fraser of Brandon, Man., and by  several nieces, nephews and cousins.
    He was predeceased by one brother Donald Marsh, and one infant daughter.    
    Cremation took place at Rainy River Cremation Services in International Falls, Minnesota.
    A graveside service was held on Monday, August 13, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Fort Frances Cemetery in Fort Frances, Ontario with Pastor Ken Johnson officiating. Interment took place in Fort Frances Cemetery in Fort Frances, Ont.
