With broken hearts, we announce the passing of David Clyde Ferguson on Monday, April 2, 2018 in Winnipeg, Man.
For 10 years, David struggled with early-onset Alzheimer’s Disease.
Born and raised in Fort Frances, Ont., David held various positions with the CIBC for 30 years throughout Northwestern Ontario and Manitoba. After his retirement from the bank, David was employed by the New Home Warranty Program of Manitoba.
On Aug. 14, 1971 he was married to Jane McLeod and raised three wonderful children together. David valued his family above all else and cherished the time spent with them. He enjoyed fishing, travelling, golf, and time spent at the cabin at Bears Pass.
The value of family and the memories he has instilled in all he connected with will last forever.
David was predeceased by his parents, Clyde and Lydia Ferguson, and his parents-in-law, Ernest and Barbara McLeod.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jane (McLeod) Ferguson; daughter, Lana Ferguson; and sons, Jason (Christine) Ferguson and Christopher Ferguson (Jennifer). He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Josh, Destiny, Clarissa, Evan, Alexis, Aiden, and Autumn.
David also leaves to mourn his sisters, Marie (Seppo) Viherjoki and Angela (John) Kepes; sister-in-law, Carol (Robert) Readman; brother-in-law, Mark (Donna) McLeod; favourite aunt, Josephine Belluz; and many beloved nephews, nieces, and cousins.
