It is with overwhelming sadness that the family of Danielle Sandra Brown (O’gi maa’ategonebiik) announces her unexpected passing on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016 at the age of 32.
Danielle will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Audrey Brown (Atatise); her son, Aiden Davenport (father, Justin); brother; Brent Atatise; grandmother, Bessie Atatise; and nephews and nieces, Jordan, Rayanne, Tatum, Kya, and Damion.
Danielle also will be fondly remembered and missed by her aunts and uncles, Gladys, Priscilla, Phyllis, Doreen, Debbie, Peggy, Robert, Rick, Brian, and Rolland.
Growing up in a very closely-knit family, Danielle’s cousins were like brothers and sisters and they all will miss her dearly.
Danielle was predeceased by her father, Howard John Brown; sister, Adrienne Nicole Brown; and uncles, Ryan and Lester Atatise.
Danielle was a lovingly patient and devoted mother who also shared that affection with her nieces and nephews. Her kind and gentle nature touched all her family and friends.
Danielle was most at home in her community of Lac La Croix camping, fishing, hunting, beading, and cherishing moments with her family and creating memories.
Danielle was a beautiful person both inside and out, and she will be so sadly missed. Her passing is a devastating loss for her family, friends, and the community of Lac La Croix.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 14, 2016 at Lac La Croix First Nation, with Gilbert Smith officiating.
The pallbearers were Danielle’s family and friends.
The honourary pallbearers were Robbie Atatise, Jermaine Atatise, Maurice Jourdain, Cling Geyshick, Landon Jourdain, Derek Geyshick, Robert Blake Atatise, Clayton Ottertail, and Rod Angus.
