It is with heavy hearts that the family of Daniel Kyle Morrison announces his passing on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, in Fort Frances, Ont.

He was born in Winnipeg, Man. to Darlene Morrison and Daniel Burnside. He grew up in Lac La Croix before moving to Fort Frances as a young man. He was a beautiful artist who loved to draw. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially his children. He had a great sense of humour and loved to joke around.

He leaves behind his children Peyton Morrison, Rylan Morrison,Talia Morrison and their mother Brittany Ottertail; sisters Angela Burnside-Stewart, Kristen Boshey and Shyla Big George; nieces and nephews Damion Morrison, Kayleigh Walton, Tianna Walton, Taneecha Leonard, Abagail Gosselin, Annabelle Gosselin, Amelia Kelly and Phillyanne Morriseau; aunts and uncles Dennis, Roger, David, Sharon, Kim and Joyanne Morrison and Cory Sky; special cousins Trevor, Dennis, Travis, Christine, Trisha, Paul and Donavan; as well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to mention.

Daniel was predeceased by his parents Daniel Burnside and Darlene Morrison; sister Tami Morrison; grandparents Albert and June Morrison and Larry Burnside; aunt Shannon Morrison; uncles Albert Morrison Jr., Joe Burnside and Jeff Morrison; cousin Jason Ottertail Jr.; and great-grandparents Clara and George Ottertail.

A traditional funeral ceremony was held on Sunday, January 30, 2022, in Lac La Croix First Nation.

The pallbearers were his family and friends.
