DANIEL DODD MCINNES

It is with profound sadness that the family of Daniel Dodd McInnes announces his sudden passing over Christmas at the home he loved in London, Ontario. His patience, integrity and fortitude will forever remain a guiding force for his family.

His physical presence, subtle guidance and support will be sorely missed by his children Sylvie (Alan), Cory (Will), Bryan, and Rob (Kim). Grandpa Dan’s sense of fun, adventure, and sharp wit will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Sean (Carolyn), Erynn (James), Alexander, Daniel, Innes (Cara), Nicholas and Eli (Erin). He was the proud great-grandfather of Sebastian and Georgia. Dan is also survived by his brothers Bill (Marlene) and Mac (Linda).

Dan is predeceased by his first wife, Marion (née Morrison); his second wife Millie (née Barron); his daughter Karen Hay; and his parents Thelma and Kenneth.

As an electrician and later manager with Bell Canada, Dan was unassuming in his life’s successes and shouldered the tragedies he encountered with quiet strength. Through the years his passion for curling has been infectious and has led to great joy in maintaining an active lifestyle, related travel adventures with Millie and many treasured friendships.
To know him was to respect him, and the family invites friends to join them in a celebration of Dan’s life to be held at a later date and detailed through the Westview Funeral Chapel website, www.westviewfuneralchapel.com.
Those wishing to donate in memory of Dan are asked to consider The London Curling Club, or a charity of your choice. Alternatively, the family invites you to get a good strong coffee and sit down and watch a game in Dan’s memory. Loves ya Dad, Dan, brother, Grandpa, uncle, friend, neighbour. Smooth sailing skipper.
