It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Cory Forbes, 81, of Barwick ON, on Saturday, July 11, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Cory was born on Oct. 25, 1933 in South Gillies Twp, Thunder Bay, ON. He had a great passion for mechanics working early in his career for American Can Logging in Hillsport, ON , Mel Jack Well Drilling in Emo, ON and Gill Brothers to name a few. Cory also loved spending time on the farm north of Barwick.
He will be greatly missed by his children, Veronica Winters of Oshawa, ON, James (Finn) of Edmonton, AB, Delbert (Bridget) of St. John’s, NFLD, Bill (Pat) of Wroxeter, ON, Ron (Sandra) of East Preston, NS, Doug of Barwick, ON, Gregory (Sheila) of Comox, BC, Bradley (Renea) of Barry, ON; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Cory is also survived by his sister, Mary Stitch of Vancouver Island, BC, and many nieces and nephews.
Cory was predeceased by his wife, Barbara; son, Sheldon; his brother, Jiggs; and sisters, Abby, Lil and Jemima.
As per Cory’s wishes a private family interment will take place in Barwick Cemetery at a later date.
