Corinne Cross, 71, of Rainycrest Home for the Aged, formerly of 375 Daniel Ave., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away Tuesday, April 27, 1999 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances.
Corinne was born April 23, 1928 in Fort Frances, where she also was raised. On Feb. 18, 1950, she was united in marriage to Milton Arthur Cross.
She was a member of the Knox United Church of Fort Frances and the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #29 Ladies Auxiliary.
Corrine was involved in volunteer work and enjoyed sports activities. She also enjoyed travelling to Oregon to visit her family members, and especially spending time with her many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Elma Morneau; husband, Milton Arthur Cross (March 23, 1993); two brothers, Adelard and Alfred Morneau; and sister, Yvonne Loveland.
Corinne is survived by her two sons, Arthur and Robert Cross; two brothers, Edward Morneau, and Emile Morneau and wife, Marg, all of Fort Frances, Ont.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 30, 1999 at 10 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Rev. Patrick Playfair will officiate, with interment in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
Friends may visit Thursday, April 29, 1999 from 7-9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances.
Pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews, Nancy Asselin, Tammi Hayward, Judy Morneau, Brad Cross, Brian Anderson, and Angela Lampi.
Honourary pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews, Fawn, Maureen, Lisa, Wayne, Mike, Brad, Brian, Barry, Gordon, Vernon, Lanny, Kevin, Tanis, David, Doug, Janice, Dwayne, Pat, Nancy, Cheryl, Wendy, Lynn, Lonnie, Darlene, Linda, Carla, Gayle, Faye, Jimmy, Leonard, Bev, Cathy, Lori, Patsy, Vicky, Jeane, Judy, Joan, and Joe.
