May 22 1945 – October 1, 2021
It is with heavy hearts, the family of Coreen “Susie” Nell Tetu announces her passing on Friday, October 1, 2021 with family at her side, at Rainycrest Long Term Care in Fort Frances, ON.
Susie was born on May 22, 1945 in Fort Frances, ON to Nora and Ole Stromsnes. She met and married the love of her life, Jerry Tetu and they were blessed with three children, Debbie, Lori and Mike. You would often see Susie and Jerry hand-in-hand out for their evening walk; it was evident to everyone that they were true soulmates. Susie loved spending time with family and friends, camping and being on the lake, as well as walking over for coffee and a visit with her good friend, Linda. Being a grandma, you could always see the pride in her eyes and a warm smile on her face. Susie’s grandchildren were the joy of her life and the bond she had with each grandchild was very special and heartwarming. All the grandchildren looked forward to weekend sleepovers with grandma, snuggling up and watching movies together while they enjoyed their special snacks she made for them. Grandma Susie always made sure she was making great memories with each grandchild, as her whole world revolved around them. Susie’s love for animals was touching; always having a cat, dog or many pets at one time, living with her. She could never resist a found stray because of her huge heart.
Susie leaves behind her brother Jerry Stromsnes; daughters Debbie (Tim) and Lori (Jeff) and son Mike; grandchildren Janelle (Joe), Brendon, Hailey, Calie (Cody), Jenna, Jake, Keifer, Kristina, Billy and Tristan; great grandchildren Oaklyn, Atlas, Ainsley and Alice along with numerous nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jerry; mother Nora; father Ole and sister-in-law Georgie.
Susie will be remembered as a strong, loving, caring, compassionate lady with the warmest smile and biggest heart.
She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
