It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Connie Lee (Mainville) DeVall on the morning of Thursday, October 27, 2022. Connie was born November 29, 1950, to Fort Frances, Ontario.
Connie is survived by her mother Irene Daley; her husband of 34 years and common-law for six years Richard Devall; her daughter Tammy Davies (Leonard); son Jason Kraynyk (Steph); step-daughter Lori McMillan (Dave); step-son Richard DeVall Jr. (Laureen); sisters Diane King, Linda Lockman (Rick), Laurie Filbrandt (Neil); grandchildren Amanda (Jamie), Landon, Kait (Taylor), Tyler, Amber, Josh, Justice, Lucas; step-grandchildren Falon (Tyler), Farah (Jason); great-grandchildren Alex, Brooke, Brielle, Payton, Abagail, Annabelle; step-great-grandchildren Marley-Rae, Beau, Charlotte, Georgia, Colt, Benjamin, Brayden, and Blaine. Connie was predeceased by her father Herman Mainville; stepfather Tom Daley; and son Kevin Kraynyk.
Connie worked in Fort Frances for Dr. Miller as a Dental Assistant. She then move to Armstrong and worked for 10 years as a Secretary Manager with the Armstrong Clinic. Connie worked for White Sands First Nation as the Housing Manager for approximately two years. Connie then moved to Sioux Lookout and worked for Tikinagan Child and Family Services for five years until she retired due to health issues.
Connie enjoy traveling. Her favourite spot was Las Vegas where she travelled many times. She also travel to Europe on two occasions, and was known for taking many trips across the border to play her favourite casino games.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Slovak Legion located at 801 Atlantic Ave. Thunder Bay, Ontario, for family and friends.
