Ball, Becky

It is with great sadness that the family of Colleen Rebecca (Becky) Ball announces her passing on Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020 at the LaVerendrye Hospital with family by her side.
She leaves behind her husband Frank; children Ken, Frank Jr. (Nina), Diane (John) Nancy (Brian) and Randy (Susan); grandchildren Brittany, Jonathan (Becky), Lacie, Dalton, Robie, Randy, Bobby, Gary, Joseph, Zachary, David, Franklin, Maria, Jasmine, Janelle, Jarrod, Ryan; and eleven great grandchildren as well as siblings Gary Chapman, Adalyn Connolly, David (Lynn) Chapman.
Becky was predeceased by her parents Willard and Adeline Chapman, and step father Joseph Armstrong; brother Ross Chapman (Lorraine); sisters Coralie Comba and Gloria Sawka; sister-in-law Cynthia; brothers-in-law Jim Sawka, Keith Comba and Brad Connolly.
Becky was born on Nov. 1, 1935 in Fort Frances, ON, to Willard and Adeline Chapman. She lived in Fort Frances most of her life. She was united in marriage to Frank Ball on Aug. 17, 1957.
Becky worked at the Fort Frances Clinic as well as CIBC for several years, but cherished the many years that she was a stay-at-home mom.
Becky was involved for many years in the ministries of Marriage Encounter and Catholic Engaged Encounter. Becky was known to take traveling strangers into her home and provide hotels for the needy, and loved to share her blessings with those around her. Becky had a special love for the lake and enjoyed spending time at their family cabin on Rainy lake. She loved fishing, snowmobiling and trips to Frankenmuth with family.
Becky loved to travel and has visited many places in North America and Europe. She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends.
A prayer service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church with Father Biju Mathew officiating. Interment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fort Frances, ON.
The pallbearers will be her ten grandsons and the honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters.
