Sadly the family announces the passing of Clifford Boshkaykin, 74, of Seine River First Nation on February 24, 2026, at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital.

Clifford was born on February 8, 1952 in Fort Frances, Ontario, to parents Anson and Marlene Boshkaykin.

He loved the outdoors, logging, fishing and trapping. He was an avid fan of Tampa Bay Lightning. He loved spending time out on the lake and especially spending time with his nieces and nephews.

He had a lot of knowledge of his culture and he spoke Ojibway language as well.

He is survived by his siblings Mary Boshkaykin, Delores Edding, Melanie Montour; his nieces Kerry (David), Abby (Mathew), Roxanne (Donovan), nephews Dalton (Chrissy), Shawn. He is also survived by his Uncle George (Rita) Boshkaykin, Aunts Emma Boshkaykin, Lorretta Shotley, Rosie Boshkaykin and extended family.

He was predeceased by his parents Anson and Marlene Boshkaykin; his brothers Calvin, Allan, Jason and sister Marie.

A traditional wake was held on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 4 p.m. at the Seine River First Nation Gym with traditional service on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Elder Andrew Johnson officiated.
