Claude Daniel (Joseph) DeGagné passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Ottawa General Hospital in Ottawa, Ont.
He was the beloved husband of Laura (Calder); loving father of Michael (Tammy), Jacqueline, Giselle, and Monique (Gregg); and cherished grandpa of André, Alexandre, Charlotte, Isabella, Katherine, and Gregory.
He also was the dear brother of Valeda, Gertrude, Rolande, Rita, Yvette, Ed, and Denis, and the late Anita, Irene, Philip, Louis, and Amedée; and adored son of the late Jean-Baptise De Gagné and Marie-Antoinette Cléroux.
Born in 1937, Claude’s early life centered around the farm in Crozier, Ont., then to the John Deere dealerships with his brothers, and finally into education.
Education took him and his family around the world, where he touched many lives.
A memorial mass will be held Friday, March 15, 2013 in St. Monica’s Parish, 2080 Merivale Rd., in Ottawa at 11 a.m.
