CHRISTOPHER WAYNE GLUEHEISEN

On October 9, 2025, Christopher Wayne Glueheisen passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends in Dryden, Ontario. He was only 47 years old.

Chris was born in Fort Frances, Ontario, to Kimberlee Ann Glueheisen (nee Torfin) and Lance Wayne Glueheisen. He grew up in Fort Frances all his life and attended Robert Moore School from Kindergarten to Grade 8.

As a little boy, Chris could often be seen with his brother Mike and his mom, riding bikes across the bridge to see his Grandma Mavis and Auntie Pam and other relatives who lived in International Falls, Minn.

Chris also loved spending time swimming, fishing and boating with his Grampa Milt and Grandma Betty at their cabin on Rice Bay.

Chris later attended Fort Frances High School, where he played football on the Muskies team. He took part in a football camp in North Dakota during his senior year, something that his parents were very proud of.

During high school, he worked at Safeway during evenings and weekends.

After graduating from high school, he went to college in Sault Ste Marie for Forestry and after that, began working for the Ministry of Natural Resources, fighting forest fires across Canada and the United States.

During college, Chris met Gabe Gregiore. The two married, residing in Fort Frances, and after a few years his eldest son Jonah was born. Though the couple would part, they always maintained a friendly relationship for the sake of their son, working together to see that they raised a wonderful young man of great character and kindness.

During the next chapter of his life, Chris met Jennifer Wall and began working at New Gold Mine from its start up until his retirement. He worked at carious jobs there, including as a Health and Safety Supervisor.

In 2019, Chris and Jen married and together, made a home in Devlin, farming a little and hunting each fall. They welcomed two children into their family, daughter Briar and baby son Orin.

All his children were beloved to him.

Chris enjoyed outdoor life, camping, fishing and some hunting. Music was important to him and he taught himself to play guitar. He loved telling stories and always had a smile and kind words for everyone. He loved animals.
