CHRISTINE EISENZOPF

Christine Eisenzopf was born on April 16, 1948, in Sheffield, England, to Owen and Florence Tame (née Phoenix). She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on May 27, 2026, at La Verendrye Hospital.

Christine is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sandra (Bill) and Sherri (Mike); her grandchildren Tiffany (Jarid), Alyssa (Justin), Schamin (Casandra), Savannah, Hayden Xavier, and Sophie; and her great-grandchildren Liam, Emily, Nash, and Owen. She is also survived by her sister Cynthia, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Christine will be fondly remembered by her special friends, Jean Smith and Patti Anderson.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph (Ike) Eisenzopf; her parents Florence and Owen Tame; her brother Brian and sister Ruth; her parents-in-law John and Agnes Eisenzopf; her brothers-in-law John and Frank (Jean); her sister-in-law Rose; and her nephew Lee.

Christine was an avid gardener and crafter, passions she lovingly shared with her daughters and grandchildren. She was a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 and St. John’s Anglican Church, where she devoted many years of service. Above all, Christine cherished time spent with her family and friends, creating lasting memories filled with love, kindness, and quiet strength.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church, with interment at Riverside Cemetery immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Christine’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Fort Frances Public Library, or the Riverside Lights, Camera and Diagnostic Foundation.
