It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Christina Nancy “Chrissy” Stamarski, who passed peacefully at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on June 21, 2026, at the age of 71.
Chrissy was the beloved wife of Dale Stamarski and a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She touched the lives of many through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family.
She is lovingly remembered by her children Shane (Kim), Shannon (Jim), Rod (Holly), Danielle (Cole), Jeremy (Megan), and Johnathan; as well as her cherished grandchildren, who brought her great joy throughout her life.
Chrissy will be dearly missed by her siblings Ira (Mary), Cheryl (Steve), Calvin (Marlene), and Shawn (Monica); along with brothers-in-law Mike (Kimberley) and Rick (Carla). She was predeceased by her siblings Marilyn (Paul), Carol (Percy), Dianne, and Allan Lyle (Mary).
She will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, including Jeff, Greg and Paula (Marilyn); Natasha (Allan); Angie (Cheryl); Ang and April (Calvin); and Jared (Shawn). Chrissy was also loved by her many aunts, cousins, extended family members and friends. A special thank you extended to “Cousin Bill” and Elaine Moody, whose love and support meant so much to Chrissy and Dale.
Those who knew Chrissy will remember her warm heart, gentle spirit, and the love she freely shared with everyone around her. Her strength, compassion, and devotion to family leave a legacy that will continue through all who were blessed to know her.
In keeping with Chrissy’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 20, at Emo Legion at 11:00 a.m. Luncheon to follow.
In Lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice in Chrissy’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
