Peacefully, on Saturday, July 14, 2012, Cheryl Louise Null Freeman passed away at the Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, N.C.
Cheryl was born Aug. 23, 1961 to Betty and the late Lee Null in Marion, Va.

Also surviving are her children, Eric Pulley (Danielle) and Chris Pulley (Kimberly); sister, Sharon Lee Null; and brother, Robert Michael Null (Lori), all of Henderson, N.C.
As well, left to mourn are Cheryl’s four grandchildren, Gail Louise Pulley, Kristin Ann Pulley, Chase Lawrence Pulley, and Patrick Lee Pulley. They will always miss their “Maw Maw,” who loved them with every fibre of her being.
Cheryl also had four nieces and nephews, Dustin, Daniel, Amber, and Autumn Null.
She was predeceased by her father, Lee Null, and her youngest brother, Jeff.
Cheryl and Michael met online 14 years ago, and were united in marriage on Sept. 23, 2000 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Fort Frances.
In Canada, Cheryl is survived by her brothers-in-law, Allan (Kathy) of Brampton, Ont., Everett of Fort Frances, Ont., and Lanny Freeman (Susan) of Alberton, Ont.
She also is survived by her nieces and nephews, Mark Freeman (Erin) of Toronto, Ont., Sarah Freeman-Kivimaki (Chris) of Alberton, Ont., and Beth Freeman-Wrolstad (Dan) of Dryden, Ont. She also leaves behind great-nieces and great-nephews, Ben and Will Freeman of Toronto, Ont., Scott and Anne Kivimaki of Alberton, Ont., and Julia and Megan Wrolstad of Dryden, Ont.
Cheryl loved her new hometown, and always looked forward to her visits with family back in North Carolina. Children were her greatest love, and she ran a day-care for several years in Henderson, where children, now grown-ups, still remember “Maw Maw.”
Even in Fort Frances, she had several children who called her “Maw Maw.” It was just the way Cheryl was.
Cheryl was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Edna Irene Freeman in 2001, who was happy that her baby boy finally had found someone who could take care of him.
Following cremation, a funeral service was held Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Freedom Life Church in Henderson, with Cheryl’s pastor, Jeff Prewer, officiating.
A celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held at Knox United Church in Fort Frances at a later date.
