CHARLES ‘CHUCK’ GERALD JOSEPH LAMBERT

It is with great sorrow that we say goodbye to Charles Gerald Joseph Lambert, who passed on Friday, Jan. 2, 2015.
Chuck was born on Nov. 23, 1968 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. to Gerald “Bucky” and Edna Lambert.
Through Chuck’s many adventures, travels, and larger-than-life personality, he met people who became a part of his stock car, sledding, hunting, work, and lake families. This includes all the fun times and memories had at Stone Dam.
There are too many people to name each individually, but special mention would like to be made of the friendship shared with Zac Manty and Hannah Marcotte.
The family pets also were well-loved and a big part of his life through the years.
His dream was to grow up and drive trucks!
Chuck will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Cheri; daughter, Kimberly; son-in-law, Michael; and granddaughter, Sophia, who brought him great joy and of whom many stories were shared with all.
Chuck also is survived by his parents, Bucky and Edna Lambert; sister, Lisette (Terry) and children, Amy, Jessica, and Brett and families; and his brother, James (Dawn), daughter, Ashley, and family.
He also is survived by his in-laws, Jim and Charon Allen; brothers-in-law, Ernie, David (Shelley) and children, Justin (Melanie) and Miranda; and Lenny (Donalda) and children, Dawson and Mason.
Chuck’s godparents were Wayne and Rita McLeod. He was a godfather to his niece, Jessica Wilson, and his great-niece, Adyson Wilson-Hands.
Chuck was a wonderful “uncle” to many who thought of him as a role model and the reason many great memories were created. He spent many Friday nights volunteering with the go-kart racers at the Emo Speedway.
Saturday night was Chuck’s turn to race. He won many awards racing, including “Most Sportsmanlike,” “Best Appearing,” “Hard Charger,” and “Fan Favourite.”
He and his pit crew, C & C Motorsports, took great pride in their 60x car and sharing it with racing fans of all ages.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Chuck’s life on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the banquet room at La Place Rendez-Vous in Fort Frances.
The honourary pallbearers will be all the Friday Night Emo Track go-kart racers and alumni.
