CECIL EARL LORNE MOSBECK

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Cecil Earl Lorne Mosbeck, age 77, at La Verendrye Hospital on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019, with family by his side.
Cecil was born in Finland, Ont. on March 7, 1942 to the late Milton and Betty Mosbeck.
On Aug. 12, 1962, Cecil married the love of his life Karen. They were happily married for 53 years until Karen’s passing on Feb. 17, 2016. Dad would often recall the many beautiful memories he treasured. He missed mom deeply.
Dad was employed at the pulp and paper mill for 41 years, until his retirement in 2007.
As a skilled mechanic, you could find dad doing all types of repairs for family and friends. He had a heart of gold and always had a captivating story to tell.
Dad was a country boy at heart and loved his country music and tall tales. He enjoyed spending many happy hours hunting and fishing with family, which we will cherish forever.
Dad was also a true hockey fan and loved watching all levels of hockey, but when his grandsons played,he was their number one fan.
Dad was very good hearted and took the whole family on numerous vacations and camping trips; one of these adventures took us to Disney World. Both mom and dad were delighted to spend this valued time together.
Cecil is survived by his sons, Barry (Susan) and Duff (Rochelle); grandchildren, Rebecca (Kendall), Nickolas, D.J., Ryan (Jennifer) and Tyler (Martina); and great-greandchildren Karsyn, Sawyer and Lennyn.
Also left to cherish his memory are his sister, Patricia McDonald; brothers-in-law, Ken Bekesi, Dale (Mary) Cooper and Rick (Myrna) Cooper; sister-in-law, Armine Mosbeck; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Cecil was predeceased by his wife, Karen, and youngest son, Sheldon; brothers, Bill Mosbeck and Melvin Mosbeck; sister, Elaine Bekesi; sister-in-law, Marilyn Shine; nephew, Brent McDonald; and niece, Patti LaFleur.
A celebration of Cecil’s life will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019 at 2-4 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 29, 250 Church Street, Fort Frances, Ont.
