Cecelia Frances Larocque, 94, of Rainycrest Home for the Aged, 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away at her residence Friday, March 2, 2001.
She was born Dec. 28, 1906 in Bechard, Sask. to the late Englebert and Rosanna Baker.
Mrs. Larocque moved to Fort Frances in 1937 and had lived there since. She was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church and the Catholic Women’s League. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting.
Cecelia was united in marriage Nov. 3, 1937 to Edward Larocque, who predeceased her Jan. 25, 1987. She also was predeceased by her brothers, Bert, Lawrence, and Johnny Baker; and her sisters, Veronica and Frances.
She is survived by her daughter, Charon and husband, Jim Allen, of Devlin, Ont. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Ernie, David and wife, Shelley, Lenny and wife, Donalda, and Cheri and husband, Chuck Lambert; two great-grandchildren, Justin and Miranda; one brother, Leonard Baker and wife, Florence, of Sedley, Sask.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, March 8, 2001 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances, with Father Eugene Whyte O.M.I. officiating.
Honourary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Ernie Allen, David Allen, Lenny Allen, and Cheri Allen Lambert, and great-grandchildren, Justin Allen and Miranda Allen.
