Catherine Lois Robertson, 94, of Princess Court in Dryden, Ont., passed away at her residence on Sunday, July 3, 2005.
She was born July 11, 1910 in Barwick, Ont. to the late Alfred and Lois Mathews. Catherine grew up in Barwick, and later moved to Fort Frances, Ont.
In Fort Frances, she met Syd Wall Sr., whom she was united in marriage to in 1935, and whom later predeceased her in 1958. In 1962, she married Roy Robertson, who predeceased her in 1982.
Catherine was a member of, and attended, the Baptist Church in Barwick, Fort Frances, and Emo throughout the years. Her steadfast faith in God and her quiet, pleasant strength and loyalty to friends and family remains a living memory.
She also was predeceased by one brother, William (Bill) Mathews.
Catherine is survived by her son, Syd Wall Jr. and wife, Leona, of Vermilion Bay, Ont.; two grandchildren, Catherine Theresa and husband, Shane Anderson, and their daughter, Jade Crystal Anderson, all of Vermilion Bay, Ont., and Steven Sydney Wall of Brookings, S.D.; one sister, Helen Florence Mitchell of Victoria, B.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Barwick Community Church in Barwick. Pastor Cherian Ponoose will officiate, with interment in Chapple Cemetery in Barwick.
Friends may visit prior to services from 1 p.m. until service time at the Barwick Community Church on Thursday afternoon.
The pallbearers will be Gordon Dyrland, Harry Bell, Steven Wall, Shane Anderson, Joe Tibold, and Ken McDonald.
