In loving memory of Carrie Elizabeth Flovick-Brannan, 96, who passed away at her residence in Princess Court Long-Term Care Home in Dryden, Ont. on Monday, March 28, 2011 with her family by her side.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Melvin (Roberta), Douglas, and Randy (Yvonne); son-in-law, Leo Danis; sister-in-law, Lillian Flovick; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Paul Flovick; husband, Leonard Brannan; daughters, Carol Fyckes and Mildred Danis; infant son, Kelvin; son-in-law, Jim Fyckes; granddaughter, Sylvia; and great-granddaughter, Shaylyn Brannan.
Elizabeth was born in Spooner, Mn. on July 25, 1914. When she was 12 years old, her family moved to Canada.
She resided in North Branch, Ont. for most of her life. That is where she met her husband, Leonard Brannan. They shared 49 years of marriage.
After her husband passed away, Elizabeth moved to Dryden to be near her children and grandchildren. She was known to her great-grandchildren as “The Cookie Grandma.”
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the North Branch Community Hall, with lay minister Mrs. Crigger officiating.
Interment of ashes will be at a later date.
