CAROL JOYCE OGDEN

Carol Joyce Ogden, 71, of Atikokan, Ont., passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009 at Atikokan General Hospital in Atikokan, Ont. with her family at her side.
Her final days were spent in the Atikokan General Hospital under the care of compassionate nurses.
Born April 13, 1937 in Midnight Lake, Sask., Carol was known for her love of life and family. Everyone was always welcome at her table, and she was happiest with her family and friends around her.
Carol is loved and will be missed by many.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, David Ogden; three children, Marilyn (Alex) MacIver, Larry (Maureen) Ogden, and Sandra (Peter) Halasz; seven grandchildren, Jason, Katherine, Matthew, Brad, Laura, Andrea, and Christopher; two great-grandchildren, Ciera and Caylie; and two brothers, Garth (Diana) Young and Douglas (Sally) Young.
Also surviving are her extended in-law family, Patricia (the late Alex) Ogden, Lorne (Edith) Ogden, Jean (Ted) Corrigan, Mamie Ogden, and Cecil (Thelma) Ogden; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Carol was predeceased by her parents, Ogle and Dorothy Young.
A memorial service was held Monday, March 2, 2009 at Riverview United Church in Atikokan, with Rev. Gordon Waldie officiating.
A family interment will follow at a later date.
