It is with great sadness that the family of Carol Ann Irvine announces her passing on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009 at the Emo Health Centre in Emo, Ont. at the age of 62.
She was born Jan. 8, 1947 to Frank and Vera (nee Tetreault) Oster of Devlin, Ont.
Carol Ann attended school in the area and afterwards worked at various places for a number of years.
She was united in marriage to Ronald Irvine on March 14, 1975 in International Falls, Mn. They resided in Mather Township, north of Emo, until moving a few short years ago to the Queen Street Manor in Emo.
Carol enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends when able to do so. She also loved knitting and watching television, and visiting with her family and friends on the telephone daily.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald, of Emo, Ont.; son, Brian (Angela) Oster and their two children of Fort Frances, Ont.; and daughter, Evelyn Irvine and her children, Starlyn, Teresa, and Christopher Irvine of Emo, Ont.
Carol Ann also is survived by her stepdaughter, Debbie (Mike) Mulholland and family of Windsor, Ont.; mother, Vera Oster of Fort Frances, Ont.; brothers, Larry (Sandy) of International Falls, Mn., Dale of Kenora, Ont., Ken (Elaine) of Fort Frances, Ont., and Bradley (Cathy) of Bloomington, Mn.; sisters, Cheryl (Gary) Hughes of Devlin, Ont. and Colleen (Dan) DeBennetti of Ramsey, Mn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol Ann was predeceased by her father, Frank Oster; brothers, Keith and Terry Oster; and in-laws, Roy and Alva Irvine.
As per Carol Ann’s wishes, a private family service was held at the Barwick Cemetery.
