It is with great sadness that the family of Carl Piotrowski announces his peaceful passing on Friday, November 26, 2021, at the La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ontario.

He was born on May 30, 1941, in Fort Frances and lived here all of his life. As a young man of just 15 he met Norma, the love of his life; they did not know it then, but it was the start of a great story. They were married on February 27, 1960, and they were inseparable for the next 59 years. They worked alongside each other in all of their ventures.

He was predeceased by his wife Norma on June 20, 2019; parents John and Wanda; brothers Thomas and Joe; sisters Bev and Mary; brother-in-law Gary; and sister-in-law Sharron.

He will be greatly missed by his children Dawn (Jim) Andrews, John (Denise) Piotrowski and Susan (Rodney) Jones; grandchildren Dillon (Lizzy) Andrews and Murphy (Connor) McIntosh, Sean (Sydney) Piotrowski, Jessica (Ashley) Piotrowski, Amanda Beauregard and Jordan Gagne, John Giles and Christine Giles; great-grandchildren Natalie, Finleigh, Zac and Thomas; brother Peter; and brother-in-law Bohdan Fraczkiewicz; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held next summer.
