It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Caralynn Ann Strom on March 22, 2021 in Ottawa, Ontario.

Born on March 12, 1955 to Arne Lloyd and Elizabeth Ann (nee Lindsay) Strom in Fort Frances, Ontario. Caralynn was the oldest of three and grew up in Fort Frances. After high school she left for university to pursue a degree in music. She would later join the military and finish her degree and masters degree in psychology and have a full career in public service.

Her greatest accomplishment was her family. She married Stephen Tighe and had two wonderful daughters Cassandra and Bridget. Her devotion to family and her pets was heartwarming. She spent the last several years enjoying reading, piano, gardening, swimming and travel.

She is survived by her husband Stephen Tighe (0ttawa); Cassandra Tighe (New York City), Bridget Tighe (Ottawa); her brother Eric Strom (Fort Frances) and Lindsay Strom (Calgary); nephews Darren and Adam Flewelling (Calgary); nieces Erica Strom (Nelson, B.C.) and Bailley Strom (Winnipeg).

Caralynn is predeceased by her father Arne (2007) and mother Elizabeth (2020).

As each of us honour her life the best way we can in these trying times we know that in the future we will gather together as a family in Fort Frances to lay her to rest along with her mother Elizabeth.
