CADEN CUNNINGHAM

It is with profound sadness that the family of Caden Cunningham announce his sudden passing on December 5, 2025, at the age of 21. Caden was born in Fort Frances on June 16, 2004.

He was predeceased by his father Reijo Tyrvainen; Nana Connie Cunningham; Grandfather Leroy Cunningham; Great-Grampa and Gramma Daw and Great-Gramma and Grampa Cunningham.

Caden loved hockey, the Toronto Maple Leafs being his favourite team. He enjoyed playing hockey as well and was quite good at it. Caden won an award for top athlete in school and made the honour roll one year. Caden had a very giving soul and would jump to help anyone who needed it. Caden loved all his siblings and was the best big brother to his younger sister and brother.

He will be greatly missed by his mother Amanda Cunningham; step-father Justin Drapeau; Gramma and Grandpa Tyrvainen; Papa Jim Elias; uncle Robert (Kim) Daw; auntie Bonnie Daw; uncle Stuart Daw (Maria); numerous cousins, including special cousins Brooke and Amelia; and two nieces and one nephew; aunt Jasmyn (Brock and family); brothers Jared (Tessa) Cunningham, Wesley Drapeau; sisters Violette Drapeau, J’Naya Cunningham (Vincent Shackleton); numerous aunties and uncles, Shirley, Bonny, Shelly, Darlene, Keith and Kenny from the Cunningham family.

A service was held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 1-3 p.m. at the Metis Hall in Fort Frances. Ontario.
