It is with heavy hearts we announce that Brian Renaud passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016 in Calgary, Alta. at the age of 64.
He was born July 19, 1951 in Fort Frances, Ont.
Brian was a blues music-loving harmonica player, who also liked to play (win) at Crib with his friends. He loved a good cold Guinness and was the type of man to drop everything to help you.
Not a fussy man on how he dressed, but left an impression on all who he met. He had a serious case of hollow leg syndrome, which allowed him to enjoy all-you-can-eat buffets to his heart’s desire.
He felt most at home in Fort Frances by the lake. His charisma and quirky way will be dearly missed.
Brian is survived by his daughter, Carlin Fortier (Yvan); mother, Bev Renaud (Bob); siblings, Chris (Linda), Kim, and Barb; as well as close cousins and friends, including Anne Marie, and his dog, Sophie.
In lieu of donations, please visit your local blues pub to support the things that Brian loved most.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at a later date.
