September 23, 1959 – July 28, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brent Lee Strachan, who passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the age of 66.
Born in Emo, Ontario, Brent was the beloved son of Marilyn Strachan and Calvin Dale “Dale” Strachan. He was a hardworking, humble, and generous man whose kindness touched everyone who knew him. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Brent would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
Brent had a deep love for the forestry industry, an important part of his life that remains close to his heart throughout the years. He later made Alberta his home, building a respected career as a heavy equipment operator. Driven by determination and an adventurous spirit, he also earned his helicopter pilot’s licence—an accomplishment he held with great pride.
Above all, Brent’s greatest joy was his family. He was always a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend whose love, encouragement, and quiet strength will be deeply missed and forever remembered. To know Brent was to know unwavering kindness, quiet strength, and a man who never hesitated to help someone in need.

Brent is lovingly remembered by his father and mother Dale and Marilyn Strachan; his brother Robert Strachan, his wife Helen Strachan, and their son and daughter; his sisters Carolee Strachan and Anita Anderson, her husband Stanley, and their son and daughter; his children Jesse Hasiuk, his wife Joanna, and their children Jesse Jr., and Kaylee Hasiuk; Tresa Hasiuk; Jeremy Hasiuk, his wife Brandy Hasiuk, and their son Wyatt; and his daughter Brandy Chamzuk, her husband Dustin Chamzuk and their three sons Payton, Archer, and Leo. He also leaves behind many cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
“What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”
— Helen Keller
