BRADLEY COUNCILLOR (Kakiingepiness)

It is with great sadness that the family of Bradley Councillor (Kakiingepines) announces his passing on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at his residence in Stanjikoming First Nation.
Brad was born Jan. 21, 1968 in Fort Frances, Ont. to the late John and May Black. He had lived all his life in Rainy River District and had worked as a carpenter.
He enjoyed fishing, playing poker, hunting, baseball, broomball, and golf. He also enjoyed traveling and going to pow-wows.
He was a caring and thoughtful person who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Bonnie, and children, William, J.J., and Haley.
Also surviving are his siblings, Dennis Black (Lena), Bruce Black, Harry Windego (Anna), and Annie McGinnis; mother-in-law, Mary Natawance; sisters-in-law, Patty Smith (Brian) Sr., Carol Quagon (Bill), and Denise Quagon; brother-in-law, Ed Natawance (Janice); as well as as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and May Black; son, Zackery, on May 4, 2009; and sisters, Brenda Black and Elizabeth Shebagegit.
A traditional service will be held Sunday, March 28, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Stanjikoming First Nation Fitness Centre.
Elder Peter White will officiate, followed by interment in the Stanjikoming First Nation Cemetery.
A funeral wake will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 3 p.m. at the Stanjikoming First Nation Fitness Centre.
The pallbearers will be Waylon Namaypoke, Adrian Snowball, Delray Smith, Paul Henderson, Desmond Jourdain, Roy Morrison, and Ed Morrison.
The honourary pallbearers will be Joanne Snowball, Brian Wayash, Myrna Shebagegit, Wayne McGinnis, Larry McGinnis, and Dwayne McGinnis.
