BETTY ANN BOUCHER
Betty Ann Boucher, 77, of Mankato, Mn., passed away early on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008.
Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, March 24, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in International Falls, Mn., with Fr. Roger Bergkamp, OMI, officiating.
Visitation will be held starting at 10 a.m.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in International Falls.
Betty was born Feb. 20, 1931 to Gordon and Maude (Armstrong) Morrison in Rainy River, Ont. She grew up and attended school in Pinewood, Ont.
It was in Pinewood where she met and fell in love with Peter Boucher and they were united in marriage on May 19, 1952. They made their home in Fort Frances, Ont. before moving to International Falls in 1967.
Betty graduated from Rainy River Community College with an Associate of Arts degree in 1970. She enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, and travel.
She also had a special kindness for animals and especially loved dogs. But her greatest passion was for her five grandchildren: Emma, Beth, William, Kelly, and Peter.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Teal of West Chester, Ohio, and Linda (Dan) Hilligoss of St. Peter, Mn.; sisters, Marlene (Bill) Terhune of Calgary, Alta., and Sharon Olson of Badger, Mn.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Pete; their son, Maurice; her parents; and aunts and uncles (“sisters and brothers”).
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to the American Humane Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
